Share Shabbat with people from other Jewish communities. Hear from a visionary in Jewish culture today.
We are thrilled to have Michael Dorf as our guest, producer for the third year in a row of an incredibly ambitious Jewish music event, the New York Jewish Music & Heritage Festival, Sept. 10-17 at 20 venues featuring over 60 artists.
The table is open to all: We'll sing, dance, share a meal and learn together. In short, we will get to know each other. (Of course, we understand that singing and dancing are not for everyone. Either way, we'd be honored to have you).
The food will be kosher vegetarian (pesco) and the price is $28.
You need to pre-register in order to attend (no walk-ins!), and we
recommend you register early because our last two sold-out.

About Michael Dorf: www.michaeldorf.com
Michael Dorf is a builder. In 1986, at the age of 23, he started the
Knitting Factory in the East Village of New York. The Knitting Factory
has grown into a downtown institution with a globally recognized brand
name. KnitMedia, which grew out of the club, is an entertainment
company with a large record label & publishing group comprised of over
8 labels and 700 titles. "We have produced some of the first New York
shows of artists such as Beck, Elliott Smith, The Indigo Girls, and
have the honor of working with Lou Reed, Ornette Coleman, The Neville
Brothers and Laurie Anderson."
Michael is married to Sarah Connors and has twin boys and a daughter.
His current interest is to help in the rebuilding of Lower Manhattan
and creating a center of culture, which can help in the exchange of
ideas, arts, and the better side of humanity. Creating an arts center
at a time when the economic, political, and cultural momentum is
pushing the world in another direction is the catalyst to build
something "important that can change the landscape in NY for the
better." It is this vision that is driving this project and this
project needs an experienced producer's leadership.
