"New Shabbat Table!" welcomes a personal dvar Torah on Parshat Chukat given by:
=====================================
Mr. Yitzchak Schonfeld of the "Chulent Gatherings"
=====================================
"Chulent" is the name given to the informal weekly gatherings for Orthodox Jews on the margins of their close-knit society that Mr. Schonfeld, a business consultant from Borough Park, Brooklyn, has been holding for the past year.."  (quote from New York Times, March 8, 2007) he helps create warm spirited gatherings for chassidim, ex-chassidim, artists and people on all sorts of personal journeys.

At each "New Shabbat Table!", we invite a special guest to give their personal thoughts on the Torah portion of the week.  The special guest is often known for something creative they do in the world, but not usually known for speaking Torah in public.  When they give their own personal thoughts on the Torah portion, we hope it inspires people to continue to find their own personal meaning in the weekly Torah portion and share it with each other.  There is a unique piece of Torah that only you have and its important for you to share it.
