For the most part everyone I've tested it on really likes it because it's tight, well organized, informative, educational, entertaining, has a good story, very cool Brazil and nature footage, some of my best songs, and above all is not boring or preachy like a lot of documentaries. The people in it are real and spontaneous, "better than actors" (unquote), and even in the one sequence where I had one guy acting as two people they thought it was twins. On the other hand there is a strong reaction to the heart breaking Gush Katif footage, so much so that I had to tame it down. One guy I gave a test copy to was so destroyed that he couldn't watch the rest of the film until he had recovered a day later.
People are blown away that it really happened and even more disturbed that they are either un or misinformed. They'd probably go insane if they saw the Amona atrocity. In only one case did the proof itself have to be explained so I think the science vs religion sham has been successfully disposed of forever.
The zero budget digital effects have yet to be called cheezy, probably because of their temporary transitional relief from the intensity they introduce, and my awesome pool playing totally freaks them out. Not to mention the amazing Divine Providence that went into making this film - like the huge white dove that just appeared in the camp the day of the Gush Katif rally and stayed until the rally was over. Things like that defy rational thinking so I just put it in the film without trying to explain it.
Personally, the part that gets me the most is where I'm introducing the "ancient irrefutable biological proof for G-d's existence" over vast, expansive shots of the
